Reflexology is a therapy that treats the feet in order to balance the whole body and all the different systems within it. Reflexology was developed by Eunice Ingham in the mid-to-late 20th century, however the principles behind it - massaging the feet, treating the client holistically, working with energy lines known as meridians which run through different zones of the body - all dates back thousands of years. Traditionally, Reflexology is a treatment on the Feet, but it can also be carried out on the Hands and Ears making it accessible to those who dislike having their feet touched. In Reflexology, the feet, hands and ears present mini maps of the body's anatomy. By applying pressure to points on these maps known as reflex areas, other corresponding and connected areas of the body will feel the benefit.. The aim is to stimulate the body's own healing processes in order to keep it in homeostasis, i.e. balanced. Among it's many benefits are that it relieves stress & tension, aides the body to rid itself of toxins and increases circulation, great to maintain balanced hormone levels and it also has a deeply relaxing effect.

Auricular Reflexology can be used for nearly any condition or disorder and it is particularly effective for pain relief and to combat joint stiffness.
